The Other Guys features two different styles that somehow come together to make a hilarious success. Directed by Adam Mckay, this absurd comedy teamed with a parody of the buddy-cop duo gives you a delight to watch. Detectives, Highsmith(Samuel Jackson) and Dwayne Johnson(Christopher Danson), are the hot cops of the NYPD. They are loved by the city and have the department eating out of their hands. But detective Terry Hoitz(Mark Wahlberg) thinks he would have been as good as them had it not been for two major bummers 1)he is hated by the department for accidently shooting Derek Jeter, and 2) he is now partnered with the saddest forensic accountant Allen Gamble(Will Farrell) who is ever reluctant to take a risk.This gives them a post of 'The Other guys' who do all the paper work for Highsmith and Johnson. However, the duo get onto a white collar criminal and have to uncover him to get their place in the department. The plot is just a hangar to hang all the jokes possible on to it. Ferrell works his wonder with his 'stating the obvious' humor which somehow works again after failing at Land Of The Lost.
